Main activity

The Advanced Manufacturing Centre within the School of Mechanical Engineering carry outs research in Advanced Machining, Process Modelling and Geometrical Modelling. The Advanced Machining group will be involved in the project with its industry facing manufacturing research and its facilities for laser micro machining, high speed milling, creep feed grinding, electrical discharge machining, hybrid machining, micro tool making and micro machining together with associated metrology and workpiece surface integrity analysis equipment. The Centre works closely with the Manufacturing Technology Centre and has access to its advanced manufacturing facilities.
